Entertainment Guide South Devon – 17th February 2016 | RoundUp.TV

Welcome to The Entertainment Guide South Devon,
I’m Matt Rogan. Coming up this week; a magical show where the children are the stars, the
snowflake run with polar bear hugs, acrobatic pirates, a festival with lots of steam and…‘Band
of the Week’! On Sunday afternoon ‘Twinkle and Teddy’s
Big Day Out’ is showing at Exeters Corn Exchange. A brilliant interactive performance
featuring all of the babyballet characters, along with the babyballet Exeter Stars aged
just 3 – 6 years old. Doors open at 12.45 and the show starts at 1.30pm, you can get
your tickets online or by ringing the Exeter Corn Exchange Box Office. The Cancer Research UK Snowflake Run is a
new charity fun run of 10km taking place on the streets of major cities across the UK.
Participants will run through snow zones and there will be hugs from polar bears at the
finish lines! You can take part in the Plymouth run on the 21st February, click the link at
the end to find the registration page and good luck to everyone that will be taking
part! Pirate fancy dress is definitely encouraged
for this next one… A wonderful family show that has toured all over the world is coming
to The Palace Theatre in Paignton on Sunday. Climb aboard The White Pearl for A Pirate
Spectacular Show, with ‘Captain Jack Swallow’, ‘Saucy Sal’, the ‘Sirens of the Sea’
and not forgetting comedy acrobats ‘Ping and Pong’ and aerialist siren ‘Zena’. If you haven’t already been, then you really
must go and explore South Devon Railway, where the Winter Steam Festival is in full steam,
I mean swing. This weekend all six locomotives will be in service with a small winter ale
festival at Staverton on Sunday. You can check the full details and train timetables at http://www.southdevonrailway.co.uk. And our pick for ‘Band of the Week’…
An exciting and fast paced versatile band, who play rock, pop, funk, blues and ska, it’s
‘Wired’ at The Kings Arms in Exeter on Saturday night. For links to all these events head over to
Roundup.tv, and … Enjoy South Devon, it’s a beautiful place
to be…
