It was only when we heard this bang that we realised she seemed to have been knocked out Nobody moved. Then [Andoh] playing Richard II came out, she took control.”  The onlooker described the scene as ‘pretty shocking’ and that Shobna didn’t look conscious when the audience members left the theatre  Another witness claimed to have scene a piece of set ‘falling from the ceiling ‘  “It hit her smack on top of the head. We thought it was fake at first,” they said  The theatre has now launched an investigation into the incident on Thursday.  Subsequent performances on Friday and Sunday afternoon were cancelled  A spokeswoman for theatre, which is lit by candlelight, said: “Shobna Gulati was injured during a performance of Richard II on 28 March, but is recovering well at home An investigation is under way.
