Reply J Rex December 20, 2019 When you get this as an ad before a video that you’re thinking about watching. I was more interested in this song than the video that I came to watch initially. George Strait is awesome. Grew up listening to him. Reply Roger Alsop December 20, 2019 A simple song. Reply AnvilMusicGroup December 20, 2019 Great song, written by Terry Stafford. Kelly Schoppa, from Vernon, Texas was the first to have a hit with it. Kelly's version is also on Youtube, and it's pretty easy to see where George Strait got the arrangement. Reply jimincairns December 24, 2019 King George…'nuff said. Reply lgwappo December 24, 2019 I grew up near Gruene Hall which is in New Braunfels next to the Guadalupe River. George went to college nearby in the 70s (SWTSU in San Marcos, Texas) & I used to have a copy of the college newspaper where they interviewed George. He was maybe 19 or 20 & playing in a local C&W band. He said something like he didn't know where it might lead but he hoped someday he would find success making music. I heard he was a student teacher at the school I once attended (Canyon) but I can't confirm. I think I gave the newspaper to my brother years ago, right after George hit it big. Reply Jase Romero December 24, 2019 Sad to not see anyone dancing. Wish George Strait would play a concert for dancers. Gruene Hall is for dancing, not standing around!
