– I’m Rick Dalton. It’s my pleasure, Mr. Schwartz. – Call me Marvin, put it there. (celery crunching)
That’s your son? – No, that’s my stunt double, Cliff Booth. – “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is headed back into theaters with never-before seen footage. The re-release of the movie starring Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio is likely a push for award season, with the film creating major buzz for numerous categories. – Line? – Cut! – [Tiffany] According
to Sony, the re-release of the Quentin Tarantino film will feature more than 10 minutes
of four additional scenes. The film already ran two
hours and 41 minutes. It will be re-released to
more than a thousand venues in the U.S and Canada starting Friday. The announcement of the
release comes on the heels of Tarantino saying he
wouldn’t re-cut the film to appease Chinese sensors that apparently took
issue with the portrayal of Bruce Lee in the movie. Tarantino’s ninth film
about 1969 Hollywood and the Manson Family had been approved for release in China on October 25th, but regulators abruptly reversed course. Tarantino held firm with a
take-it-or-leave-it stance. The family of Lee expressed major issues with how the late martial artist
was portrayed in the movie. China’s film bureau said
Lee’s daughter, Shannon Lee, made a direct appeal to China’s National Film Administration, asking that it demand changes to her father’s portrayal in the movie. Shannon Lee did not respond for
comment on China’s decision. From the outset, Tarantino defended the way he wrote the character. Today, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” has earned $368 million worldwide. – I’m in the movie. – You’re in this? – That’s me, I play
