Reply sourabh dhalia August 12, 2019 Where is part 2 😠😡 Reply Gustavo Krieger August 13, 2019 Hey, guys! How about a video about the top 10 uses of tonal shift? I think it's an interesting topic that no other channel could dive in quite like you. Moments like Tarantino suddenly turning Kill Bill into pseudo-anime, or any Goodfellas with the "funny how" scene, which turns a comedic moment into a tense moment and back to comedic again. Reply CaliforniaHP August 16, 2019 Raiders of the Lost Ark not on here. Blasphemy and I watched Fury Road in theaters twice because I loved it so much. At least you got T2 and Seven Samurai though Reply Adam Klobukowski August 16, 2019 Hey, Cinefix, do a list od 10 best lists in movies 🙂 Reply CaseNumber00 August 16, 2019 I wonder if there is going to be a best action for animation. Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heavens Door, albeit an insert to the series, is a great movie that has a compelling story, world class animation, and fight choreography that is better than most live action movies. Reply TS August 16, 2019 I'll wait for the second half, but this is totally bogus if Centipede doesn't make the top 5. Reply halneufmille August 16, 2019 Kung Fury could have been mentioned in the funny section. Ek it deserves its own review. Reply Molly Kapping August 16, 2019 Part two please!!!!!! We're dying over here! Reply Friedrich August 16, 2019 black hawk down too underrated Reply Ahmad Salameh August 17, 2019 Part 2 please! Looks like CenFix is the greatest movie channel already! Reply Andrew Baldwin August 24, 2019 Mad Max is great, but Raiders of the Lost Ark does more with less FX and much better writing. Reply Sidd Mishra August 24, 2019 So the part-2 will be out next year ? Reply jirka KOUBA August 24, 2019 Well you could at least mention Red Cliff. Reply Matt Krcma August 26, 2019 Do a video on pacing, maybe and example/breakdown or a top 10 Reply Dilgeer Qurashi August 26, 2019 Note it down , never ever even in the future …….. It's a masterpiece#TeriKehKeLunga "#SabkaBadlaLegaTeraFaijal" Reply Lucas Moreira August 26, 2019 Mad Max: Fury Road is OVERrated Reply Lucas Moreira August 26, 2019 Mad Max: Fury Road is OVERrated Reply PJman33 August 28, 2019 I think the movie Dredd(2012) is a severely underrated action movie. Reply lilmil August 28, 2019 Boooooooooo Reply swtboiPnoiX August 29, 2019 Where is part 2? Reply Kryptes August 29, 2019 My list based off the cinefix categories10. Men in Black9. Inception8. Inglorious Basterds 7. North by Northwest6. Lawrence of Arabia Reply Filipe N. August 30, 2019 Just disliking some videos for that disgrace of a top 10 western movies. I fell like 1 dislike isnt enough Reply Jeffrey Lin August 30, 2019 seriously. you like steven chow's journey to the west? that's like one of his worst movie Reply James Neave August 30, 2019 Battle of Britain.Black hawk down's sublime but the Battle of Britain was epic. Reply GeoNeo Hill August 30, 2019 Terminator 2…. god damn what a film. I grew up with that as a kid, and ha e probably watched it about 50 times, and it would still be in my top 5. Incredible film. Even the special fx still hold up today. The new one will not even come close after watching the new trailer. Reply GeoNeo Hill August 30, 2019 You can tell they were clutching at straws with action adventure when they considered the Fugitive as action adventure! Reply Bac Burrito August 30, 2019 Clint, get yourself to screenjunkies now and join forces Reply Mr. Bear August 30, 2019 Mad Max is adventure? What??? Reply Kat Reynolds August 30, 2019 top quality list, excellently argued Reply Andres Kosberg August 30, 2019 So black wawke is better than SPR or dunkirk? Reply logmouth August 30, 2019 I gotta disagree and say Zulu is the best war film of all time. Unrivaled levels of tension with an epic final battle. Reply crazy ben12231 August 30, 2019 Are you high raiders of the lost ark is WAY better than any mad max movie Reply SukoSeiti August 30, 2019 I love this channel so much, I need moaaaar Reply E O'Brien August 30, 2019 Black Hawk Down? Seriously? You can’t just “set aside” representation issues when the film is unquestionably racist. Really poor choice. Reply andrewstohr August 30, 2019 If T2 hadn't made this list i would never have watched the channel again. Well done. Reply Hrema August 31, 2019 No way is Lord of the Rings not the best epic action film of all time. Reply David Lariscy August 31, 2019 Some very questionable pick here guys. Reply Haluk Halis August 31, 2019 I'm severely disappointed, Aliens is my #1 pick and it has been ever since it came out. Reply Carolyn Blake August 31, 2019 Big miss – John Wick Reply Pineda Jose August 31, 2019 Does police story work? Reply Rijwan Karim August 31, 2019 thanks for the shout out to Gangs of Wasseypur Reply SnickeringGirl August 31, 2019 I really love these lists, even if I haven't seen the top pick movie, I understand the reason better because of the examples given. Such a great channel to watch! I am hooked. Reply Ricky Grimez August 31, 2019 I would have picked Beverly Hills Cop as best Action Comedy, The Matrix, Full Metal Jacket Reply Jedi Knight August 31, 2019 Saving Privat Ryan is better than Black Hawk Down. Reply kick August 31, 2019 Why was snowpiercer even mentioned? Lol that film is pure hot garbage Reply Enrique Fornasini August 31, 2019 This guy has the voice of Jerry from Rick & Morty Reply Christopher Parker September 1, 2019 Loved black hawk down Reply Biraj Singha September 1, 2019 Mad Max: Fury Road, an absolute action masterpiece. Definitely a contender for National Film Register in future. Reply D M September 1, 2019 Terminator 2 is my favorite movie all time Reply Jamie Wells September 1, 2019 Idea for a list: best uses of weather! Reply Elliott Henderson September 2, 2019 Terminator 2 is the best sequel, action film, time travel film and sci-fi film of all time! Reply TICAL METHOD September 2, 2019 YALL ON KUROSAWA DICK BAD…. Reply tiffsaver September 2, 2019 FIRST OF ALL, YOU CANNOT POSSIBLY COMPARE MOVIES USING DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY WITH FILMS THAT DIDN'T. So you should create two categories, one pre-CGI, and one post. But of all the films I've seen (and in 71-years, that's a lot), I would have to say that Mel Gibson's original "Road Warrior" must reign supreme for ushering in an entirely new and different form of film entertainment. All of the stunts were practical, done in real time, with real people, not like the cartoons and "super hero" garbage and unending sequels only made only for video games, prepubescent little boys, and making rich producers even richer. In my opinion, Road Warrior changed the way actions films are shot and made for all time, and certainly the first to use automobiles as the stars. There wouldn't even BE a "Fast and Furious" or "Mad Max: Thunder Road" without Mel's groundbreaking opus. That said, my favorite single stunt sequence (pre-CGI) was the chariot race in 1959's "Ben Hur," where all of the stars learned to drive their own teams of horses, all brilliantly choreographed by the great Yakima Kanutt. It didn't use any loud music or mind-numbing special effects, just pure cinematic genius and pounding hooves. No single action sequence in movie history was ever performed or filmed better. Catch it. Reply Hudsanity September 2, 2019 Love both lists, but Matrix has to crack the list one way or another.. Reply Fullmetal Norik . September 3, 2019 never, ever in my life have a agreed with a top 10 list more . Kudos CineFix Reply Nobilus Mikami September 3, 2019 I'm pretty sure Seven Samurai is also in part two! :d Reply Tom Maj September 3, 2019 Great list, except Indiana Jones surpasses Mad Max any day. Reply superfields11 September 3, 2019 i thought this was best action movies not best in each category dude: in one category you had my three best in my top 10. Reply Barely History September 3, 2019 I'm trying to learn to edit and holy cow is the editing in this video well down! Props to your editors! Reply JayRodMiNi September 4, 2019 I am glad black hawk down got some love on this list. Reply Lord Baktor September 4, 2019 Starship Troopers in "action comedy" rather than "action sci-fi"? I know the film is kinda goofy and has heavy doses of satire, but c'mon… Reply James September 5, 2019 Black Hawk Down is better than Saving Private Ryan? Sorry, but no. Reply Chad Robinson September 5, 2019 I have a bad thing to say about George Miller’s masterpiece: the narrative is trash. The acting is great, the set pieces are excellent, the action is brutal, but I am bothered by its bullshit plot. “We need to get away from Immortan Joe! … I mean, Immortan Joe is away so we can takeover his fiefdom! That was the point all along!” Huh? Reply Thomas Ryan September 6, 2019 "legitimate questions about representation" what does this mean?! Are we supposed to be shocked that all the Somali rebels as shown in the film are black Africans? And that they do horrible things? Well they were blacks and they did dreadful things – shocking isn't it, but I guess facts and the real world can be upsetting for those of a particular ideological bent Reply Yurek Hunt September 7, 2019 Doesn't mention The Princess Bride in either Action Comedy or Action Adventure. Why do I keep watching these completely idiotic videos, made by ignorant imbeciles? Reply Joseph Lowry September 7, 2019 There an lot of badass action movies out there and they are cool. Reply Anton Luyt September 8, 2019 For T2 you are showing quite a few deleted scenes I wish were in the movie. The brilliance of the movie is that although James Cameron already introduced us the the Skynet universe he walks us very slowly into the evolved and updated technology of the T1000. Plus Robert Patrick never gets enough credit for bringing to life the methodical and calculating robot assassin. Reply Aaron Johnson September 8, 2019 Marvel and dc is not an action movie it a superhero movie Reply Riccardo Alcaro September 11, 2019 Aliens is infinitely better than T2. Plot is original, tension is real, characters are compelling. These lists of top 10 manage to make you believe there are good reasons for very weird choices Reply Ginamaria September 16, 2019 +CineFixHi there. New subscriber here. I often agree with you, but not always. Here's what I think of this one, other than the sheer frustration of it all for me personally:#9 wasn't "ILM"#7 NO "CGI" (glad you like it so much, though…)#6 How come nobody ever questions stuff like weather??? Do you actually think that "they" got a rain machine to "make it rain" during the filming of that huge action sequence? Did "they" plan for that amount of REAL rain, conversely? It's raining all OVER the damn place, not just in one little spot. And….that is an absolute FUCKTON of rain. Rain machines?? Just, please. WHY, WHY, WHY does nobody EVER question stuff like that??? It makes me want to slit my fucking wrists. (glad you like it so much, though…) Reply BILL Gurr September 17, 2019 7 samurais is boring AF Reply David Anthony Atienza September 17, 2019 I dont think Mad Max fury road is an action adventure film in my opinion since you have a protagonist chasing after a goal (which is something they need to get) while the antagonist is the obstacle or has the same goal as the hero.In Mad Max everyone was trying to get away from Immortan Joe. Reply Donald Trump September 20, 2019 Gangs of Wasseypur is My Fav Bollywood Movie. Reply tarekyeerum2006 September 21, 2019 T2 is the best action film of all times..hands down Reply Joe Schmoe September 22, 2019 The Matrix should definately been on here and Mad Max is a great action film but in terms of adventurous and world-building you place it above Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribean and Star Wars how does that work? Reply Mony Pio September 23, 2019 Anytime I watch a Top from Cinefix, I had a long list of movies to check Reply Awesome Silver September 23, 2019 Black Hawk Down is Great. Reply Ragnar September 24, 2019 Mad max is fucking brilliant Reply everybodyhatesgresh September 27, 2019 Whats the song when they start talking sci fi? Around 3:05 Reply KerioFive September 29, 2019 Starting at 0:14 can ANYONE tell me what theme that sounds like?? Reply Lauran Bajoran September 29, 2019 I loved Alita and I really think that if people approach anime adaptations with the same enthusiasm but give themselves more time with a limited series, we'll be able to leave disasters like Dragon Ball Evolutions and Death Note in the past. Reply Samuel Raji September 29, 2019 Please, don't make the Superhero list. It will get views but if Avengers is first a lot of Dark Knight fanboys will rage and dislike. If Dark Knight or something non Marvel is first, Marvel YouTubers and Reddit and the entire planet with shit on you and make videos either way you will loose. Reply Bilal S. September 30, 2019 I'm a simple man. I see T2 I click Reply Sparsh Parimoo September 30, 2019 Black Hawk Down? Really? Reply RainbowSlinky5 September 30, 2019 t2 should be higher on the list Reply Jacob October 1, 2019 Jackie Chan is a LEGEND Reply Matt Rusty October 2, 2019 I predict 1-10 to be The Raid Reply adi October 5, 2019 Action English cinema Reply Pramyth Abeysekera October 6, 2019 Think Saving Private Ryan should have trumped Black Hawk Down Reply Jack Yutthaphum Mietinen October 7, 2019 Pretty agree with most of the pick except for Black Hawk Down Reply Pierre LeDouche October 7, 2019 "…And definitely not R-rated" he says while footage from Hardcore Henry plays — a movie in which the silent protagonist rips out his own intestines and strangles a man with them. On Blackhawk Down: Ridley Scott cheated. Man did he cheat. Those Rangers you see fast-roping out of the Blackhawk helicopters, and at other points in the movie, are (you guessed it) real Rangers. The way Scott told it, he couldn't make a movie called Blackhawk Down without actual Blackhawk helicopters. That meant making nice with the US Army, because they were the ones who actually had the Blackhawks. Which meant Scott had to double-down commit to getting it right if he wanted the Army's cooperation and the helicopters (and their pilots). Which to the Army translated as actually having Rangers do the Ranger stuff in the movie. It was all good in the end, because the Rangers got portrayed accurately, the story got told accurately (in all its tragedy and heroism) without any need at all for Hollywood faux heroics. Telling the story straight was more than good enough (interested folk should read the fantastic book by Mark Bowden). About Fury Road: in an NPR interview George Miller told about the fantastic stuntmen he had on the movie, and their hijinks on set. For starters, someone had seen the acrobatic show Cirque de Soleil with these people dancing on poles, and it was decided to incorporate that into the movie stunts with the "polecats." Whose stunts were to be performed from NON-MOVING vehicles and later incorporated into footage of the moving vehicles by movie effects wizardry. Under no circumstances were they to be allowed — so said everyone from the production company to their insurance underwriter — to be performed from vehicles moving even ten miles an hour because of the extreme risk and liability. So-o-o-o…Miller says that they hit some downtime during filming, for logistical or production reasons (I forget which). During which the stunt personnel got bored. Miller says the next he knew, all these vehicles come buzzing into view at high speed, with all these stuntmen teetering about them on the ends of poles. Eventually he and everyone else gave in to the inevitable and the stunts appear in the movie. Trivia: you people would never in a million years guess what George Miller's first career was before he went into movie making. Anybody…? Anybody…? Nope? He was a doctor. An emergency room surgeon, actually. Yes, really.
